Today is my 18th birthday. And guess where I'm spending it? AT CHURCH!!
PLEASE don't get me wrong...This is a WONDERFUL way to spend my birthday and to bring in the new year. I've been celebrating my birthday and welcoming the new year at church for 17 years...(I only missed Watchnight service once {from what I can remember} because my family went down south...but that was when my grandfather was the pastor and my mom could miss that service...but she's the pastor now...so SHE CAN'T!! lol)
But I digress
Anywho, I always think in the back of my mind, will I ever miss a Watchnight service? idk. I don't want to be a disappointment/embarassment to my mother and my family. And I don't plan on it. But am I justified in celebrating my birthday OUTSIDE of church for just one year...or maybe a couple (lol)? Is that selfish/wrong of me?
What are your thoughts??

Introduction
Hey ya'all hey!!!
Well my name is Candyce and I'm a PK. My mother's a pastor of my church in Harlem. Before her, my grandfather was the pastor. So I grew up in church all my life.
The reason why I made this blog is because my brother recently said that sometimes he hates being a pastor's kid...and I completely agree!! It is NOT easy. People are always waiting for you to make a mistake, so that it can prove that the pastor isn't perfect either. WELL, HELLO!! NOBODY'S PERFECT!!! Everybody makes mistakes. We're all human.
So! The purpose of this blog is to be a support for other PKs...b/c I honestly don't know many others my age...so feel free to share your thoughts!
